Take two

June 4, 2012 in Uncategorized

We had to re-group after the disappointment of not being pregnant last week after our 1st IUI treatment. Hubby and I discussed what could have probably caused the treatment not to have worked and we remembered that the FS mentioned something that looked like a polyp in the uterus during a scan but he wasn’t too sure about it.

I did some research and it seems that a uterine polyp can be the cause of infertility as well as miscarriage so it would be better to sort this out ASAP. It was just surprising to us that my previous FS did not pick up on this when I went for the Laparoscopy & Hysteroscopy in November. If there was something there we needed to get rid of it before moving forward with any other treatments. I phoned the FS and got an appointment for today.

Meeting with the FS he agreed to do another scan to ensure we were dealing with a polyp. This time around it was clear that there’s definitely a polyp and it seems to have increased in size since the last scan.

So, tomorrow at 10h00 I’m scheduled to be admitted to go for another Hysteroscopy and have the polyp removed and then we can hopefully start the whole process again.

What a rollercoaster ride TTC is. It tests us all the time but I do believe that it makes our relationships stronger and brings us closer together. WE WILL COME OUT STRONGER IN THE END ON THE OTHER SIDE!!!
