No time to blog, whats the world coming to?

March 30, 2009 in Uncategorized

Eish, just don’t seem to have time to blog and respond to everyone’s comments…. so here’s a quick one:
Frog: better, still snotty but happily drinking her purple antibiotics
Frog’s Mom: not doing too well – got hit by gastro (think my immune system took a knock this week), and was man down all of yesterday. I couldn’t lift my head from the pillow. Poor hubby had frog all to himself again

will answer every one soon and visit your blogs to catch up… soon… I promise :)

Frog is sick

March 27, 2009 in Uncategorized

frog has been sick since tuesday. she has a nasty cough, and is not sleeping. Hubby is away so I’m doing this all on my own. exhausted. going to take her to dr this am as she is just not improving. Was awake at 5am, crying solidly until 5 minutes ago (6:30). Oh and I woke up face to face with a rain spider.

down moments…

having a “down day”…

Frog seems to have picked up my cold, and only hubby can comfort her. Whats up with that? Aren’t moms supposed to be able to fix / comfort / soothe all ills?
We have had another letter of complaint about our dogs barking. Funny thing is that the letter of complaint said the antibark unit our neighbour put up is even more annoying than the dogs barking. The one they installed is audible – very annoying, I agree! Hubby took the letter over to the neighbours who we thought had put the unit up – and they say it isn’t them, but the first neighbours who complained. The odd thing is that I had been over to those neighbours and explained right at the beginning that I work from home, that we had people in our house, and that I feel safer with the dogs warning and thus was not going to take any measures to keep them quiet except on sunday afternoons (we came to an “agreement”) – and then they go and install the antibark unit anyway.

popping in…

March 15, 2009 in Uncategorized

Just quickly popping in to say hello! London is cold, my friend’s wedding was beautiful, I’m having a completely different London experience to the one I had 10 years ago (i.e. really enjoying London this time)

Rockybaby: I’ll get Tracy to check for you :)

will be flying home on St Patricks day (also my birthday Rockybaby, but don’t tell anyone :) ) and will resume blog posts then.

Missing my frog and hubby madly!

nursery school…

March 9, 2009 in Uncategorized

We’ve got Frog into a nursery school starting 1st July. It’s called the Barnyard school – has a pig, and goats and chickens and a duck pond…and is right next to a farm with horses. The kind of nursery school I would have loved to go to.
She’ll go mornings only, 5 days a week.

I think she needs more stimulation than I can give her at home, and I need the time to work. If I can get in 5 solid hours of work, we’ll have afternoons together.
Just waiting to hear about the routine the kids are in, so that i can get Frog into the same routine.
